Presidential candidate Sen. Manny Pacquiao on Wednesday called his rival, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno "insecure" after the latter scheduled his sorties in Cebu because he had conducted his campaign in the province.

In a chance interview with reporters, the senator claimed that Moreno's team held a campaign in Cebu in fears that most votes will be in his favor in the Visayas region.

"I think if I didn’t schedule here in Cebu they also wouldn’t schedule here in Cebu," Pacquiao originally said in Cebuano.

"They are insecure because I am Bisaya and they’re thinking that MP can dominate the Visayas," he added.

Pacquiao is set to hold a miting de avance in Cebu City on May 6, and another one in his hometown General Santos City on May 7.

Moreno, meanwhile, will hold his miting de avance in Tondo, Manila, on May 6.

In the latest result of the Pulse Asia survey, the senator overtook the mayor in the third spot: Pacquiao with 7 percent while Moreno with 4 percent.
